Take Care of your Hygiene First
Keeping yourself clean
during the periods must be your first priority so as to avoid infection. It is
heightened time for infection to attack your body through the vaginal track.
Following some simple hygiene tips will keep us away from all infectious
diseases.
- Wash regularly: Wash
your vaginal area at least twice a day and always wash your hands before
and after changing vaginal pad or cleaning the vaginal area.
- Wash the right

use or just use your hands and warm water to clean the area.

minerals and nutrients. In order to regain all those minerals and nutrients, we
must opt for healthy choices.
- Keep protein and iron rich
diet: Eat fish, eggs, curd. Replenish lost iron with red meat,
asparagus, spinach, broccoli, strawberries, tomatoes and citrus.
- Fight pain and
inflammation with oily fish, turmeric, ginger, curry and berries.
- Refrain from
indulging in cold drinks, processed food, alcohol or smoking.At this point
of time our body is not in a condition to digest high sugar and processed
food such as it will likely to upset your stomach.
- Avoid caffeine, candy bars, soda and baked goods as they might lead to headaches and cramps.
- Smoking contracts your blood vessels. Drinking, on the other hand, increases bleeding. So please refrain from drinking too much and smoking.

Research shows that
gentle exercises like yoga, walking and stretching can soothe pain, boost mood,
and help you concentrate. If you exercise regularly you can do your normal work
out if you are feeling fine. However, don’t push yourself too hard if you have

Bottle: Apply heat to your abdomen area using the hot water bottle. This
will help get the blood flowing and relieves cramps.
- Try some Lavender:
Put a few drops of lavender oil to your pillow or you can the light
lavender incensed candle. The sweet smell will help you to relax and
forget about pain.
